Spring Break 2011

The great thing about working for a school...is spring break! I forgot how much I loved this week growing up! I love my job...but it's always nice to have some time off. It was just a great relaxing week. I really didn't do a whole lot the first part of the week, and that Friday-Sunday we went to Salt Lake and had so much fun! We just wanted to do a little mini get away. So we got a hotel that was right across the street from Temple Square, and didn't have to drive the whole rest of the weekend, it was great. All that I really wanted for the week was nice weather...that didn't happen, but thats okay. Our ride down was quite crappy though, we seriously were driving through a blizzard for about an hour of it.

When we first got there we went straight to the humanitarian center. We had never been there before so we thought it would be fun to just go work for a couple hours and help out. We were in the school station, so we got to stuff school bags, and it was actually really fun. We were there for about an hour and a half and stuffed about 300 hundred bags. So we felt pretty good about our time spent. :) When we were done there we heading to the Salt Lake Temple to do a session, which I just LOVED! We haven't been back to that temple since we were married there, and I absolutely loved being back there! That is just the prettiest temple, I think everyone should go there at least once. It brought back so many good memories for me. So that was a good experience.
Saturday was super fun! We just went shopping at the Gateway mall for most of the day. And it was actually a decent day so it was nice to be outside walking around. When we first found out we were pregnant we were in Salt Lake for a weekend and found this little newborn Jordan set, they had a pink one for a girl and a red and black one for boys, so we had to go back this time and pink up the little pink set...cutest thing ever! I can't wait to see her in it!

That night was SO much fun! We got hooked up with free tickets to that Jazz game from one of our friends, for the lower bowl row 26. Which was a totally different ballgame for us since we are always in the upper bowl, last game we were on the very last row. So we showed up an hour early this time to watch them warm up. They played Dallas, we like them--thats who we were cheering for, so it was fun to be so close and see them upclose. I actually got asked to be in the half time show for the little races they do, this one was for a tire race, but since I'm pregnant, I decided I probably shouldn't, but it would've been cool.

Here's us with Dirk in the back...he's our favorite from Dallas...and just LOVED his little capri's he was wearing to warm up in...not.
And here's a lovely update on the preggo picture...25 weeks.

Mother's Day

I think I have posted these before, but me and my sister Rachel are doing these super cute stick family pictures, we thought they would be great for Mother's Day if anyone is interested just let me know. You can check out more pictures at our crafting blog, here.

So whenever something funny happens or someone says something funny at work I always jot it down so I don't forget it...because kids are just the cutest things and I just love some of the things they say. I just love my job! So for the past month I've been going into one of the kindergarten classes to help for a half an hour, and I LOVE it! I love kindergarteners! I have been thinking lately I want to go back and get my teaching degree...I would love to be a kindergarten teacher. Anyways, there are 4 different stations the kids go to and I am in the writing station, so they were writing sentences that said "If I could go anywhere in the world, I would go to..." and they would fill it in, so we would discuss all of the cool places before they would right, Disneyland, Disneyworld, Lagoon, New York, Hawaii, Africa, China, Japan, Europe, to a beach...so this one little girl was having the hardest time picking where she would want to go, so I said "This is a really fun sentence, where have you ALWAYS dreamed of...you get to decide ANYWHERE you want to go!" And she sat there for a minute and said..."McDonalds." And thats what she wrote...good game plan, she won't be disappointed in life. :)

Another day that we were in stations, at the table next to me I hear one girl say, "My mom has gotten SOO fat!" So I stop what I'm doing at look right over there, and the teacher was just as surprised and said "What??" Both of us thinking her mom is pregnant or something, and the girl says, 'My mom has gotten SO fat! She REALLY needs to start working out."

There is a kid that seems to have a problem making it to the bathroom on time, so we get to see him in the office quite frequently. On this particular day his parents were gone and couldn't bring him any clothes, so we looked through what clothes we had at the school, and there was a pair of pants that was probably 3 sizes to big, so I went and got some of the orange twine, for our homemade belts, and tied it around him. He kept saying "I just don't want to be embarrassed, I just don't want my friends to notice what I did." I could tell he was really worried, and the huge pants didn't help so I said, "Ya know what, it's nobody's business, if they say anything just say that you fell in the mud or in a puddle and had to change pants." So he sits there for a minute and then says, "...ya, but that would be lying, and I don't want to tell lies." I guess I'm a great example for kids :)

So Happy!

It's been a fun past couple of weeks! I just LOVE being pregnant, I've heard of a lot of people that hate it, but it's been really fun for me. We went in on the 3rd for the big ultrasound...and it was AMAZING! We were just SO happy! It lasted about an hour...It's a pretty good feeling holding your honey's hand watching your little baby moving all around. It was incredible. I was a little nervous at first because I was just hoping that everything was healthy and good, and when we found that out I just sat watched our sweet baby moving all around, so so excited. All we really wanted was a healthy baby, no matter what it may be, but let's be honest, I was rooting for a little girl and Adam was rooting for a boy, the the ultrasound tech was kind of quite and looking (we didn't know at what) and he just looks at us and said "Well...it's a girl." I was SO happy, and then looked at Adam and he just kind of stared at the screen, so the tech was like " Well that silenced the husband." But he was just as excited. When I wasn't very far along I saw on someone's blog this Chinese Calander, and it supposed to be "incredibly accurate" so I checked it out and low and behold...it was correct. And the person that I saw it on...there's was correct too. So all you preggo girls out there that don't know what your having yet...you might want to check this out. :) Baby girl Gooch--Adam says she has my nose (long and pointy :)

We just love this picture with her little hand...

So there's a new ultra sound machine that doctors are getting now days that are either 3d or 4d, can't remember, so here is the best shot of that that we got, it is looking down at her head. We didn't like these shots as much as the normal ones because it just looks like she has lumps all over the place, so we'll just stick with this one. :)

That weeked I was just so excited that me and my mom went to Twin for the day to go shopping. It was SO much fun! I love hanging out with my mom...and we had so much fun shopping for clothes! We went to the most amazing store...it's called Once Upon a Child, and it's "gently used" clothes, but all of them look brand new, but they are like a 1/4 of the normal price. I was in heaven! I got just the cutest little outfits. For instance, I got 12 outfits pretty much, like 8 onsies, 10 shirts, cutest shorts, 6 skirts, and 2 super cute pairs of pants, all for $50. I felt pretty good about it. Then afterwards to went to Old Navy to get maternity clothes, and I was looking at the baby stuff and it all looked so expensive. It was a fun day!

This is at 19 weeks...don't judge, I look quite crappy but here is a picture for ya.

I haven't experienced to many new things yet. I don't get weak in the mornings anymore. I feel perfectly healthy and fine, I never feel sick or anything, so I am greatful for that. I'm not as tired as I was, it was pretty bad there for about a month. I can feel my baby now!!! And I love it! I seriously loose sleep over it at nights...I just lay in bed hoping to feel her before I fall asleep, I'll wake up in the middle of the night or early in the morning and just lay there until I can feel her move. I just love it! It's all getting so real now. We've bought a few things that we've gotten really good deals on, like a stroller and a rocking chair. So if you know any good websites with good deals or anything let me know! With everything going on, life is great, I've got no complaints!

As of Late...

Time just flies by SOO fast!! February is almost over...and then it'll be spring break, and then the school year will be over. I'm just amazed at how quick this year has gone! I'm still absolutely loving my job, cutest kids ever (most of them :) I got to experience my first valentines day there and it was so much fun. I could NOT believe how much stuff those little kids got! Seriously amazing...they are going to have a lot of expectations through the rest of their life...just sayin. I have a pretty big front office, and seriously it was FILLED with flowers, balloons, cookies, baskets...everything. But it was really fun to be surrounded by that. And it was funny because I had a couple kids that walked by and were like "Wow Michelle! Are ALL of those for you??? You're SO lucky!" And was little girl was like..."You decorated your office so pretty!" Haha...thank you! I got to make my own little valentine's box, and actually got quite a bit, it just made my day, I just love those kids!

There's this really cute 2nd grade boy that just loves hanging out at my desk..even when he's late in the morning, I have to tell him like 5 times to go to class, anyways, one day he was getting picked up so he was waiting for his mom to get there. He was talking to me and this was our conversation...

Boy: I taught my two year old brother to ride a bike and skateboard. I just wish I could learn how to ride a scooter.

Me: I have a motor scooter

Boy: Ya me too. I have like 3, one of them goes like a million miles an hour...but I can run faster than that...easy...I can run faster than any scooter.

Me: You can run a million miles an hour?!?!

Boy: Probably faster...I can probably run like infinity miles an hour. I have to use the bathroom, if my mom shows up tell her I'll be out in about an hour...it usually takes me about an hour to use the bathroom.

I guess in 2nd grade they haven't learned the concept of time yet :)

As a pregnacy update, things are really good lately, I had a doctors appointment 2 weeks ago and we heard that heart beat, that was very cool! I've been feeling pretty darn good. There was about a month in there that I was pretty nauseous. And then for a couple weeks, I was getting really bad cramps in my lower stomach that hurt pretty bad, got over that. And this whole time...I'm ALWAYS tired! Seriously, I just come home from work completely pooped. And I have to fight to stay awake for the evening. Last weekend I would seriously fall asleep at 6 or 7 at night and sleep through the next morning. I am starting to get a little baby bump, but not really showing yet. We find out in a week what we're having!!! I'll be 18 weeks then...we're SO excited! Last weekend we went to the temple in Twin and decided to go to the most amazing clothes store after...it's called Once Upon a Child. Some may think it's gross...I think it's AMAZING! I seriously was on the biggest high after that store, it's a "gently used" clothes store for babies. So all of their clothes look brand new and a lot of them are name brand clothes, not that I care at all for name brand for little kids, but when a whole outfit is like $2.50...why not?? We had to have self control and not buy anything....until we find out what we're having. So I'm pretty excited!

Gooch Addition

We decided the world needed another Gooch...to bring chaos and make non-Gooches miserable. So Aug 3rd is the supposed time that this will come to pass. Michelle is now 3 months along and is very excited and nervous all at the same time. Adam is just chillin waited to play ball with his new, buff son. We did receive an ultrasound picture. We do know so far that the baby is just over 2 inches, has a head, a butt and atleast one arm (which he was probably flipping us off with because we woke him up). The rest we could not see or is not developed yet.
We want to thank everyone for the congrats and acting excited. The best reaction in the Fennell family goes out to Melanie. That fiery redhead sure knows how to make us feel good and give praise. The best reaction in the Gooch family goes out to Mike. For usually being reserved and quiet on the phone, he sure did make some good noise. Lastly the best reaction for friends goes out to Beth Farmer, considering I could not hear anything she was yelling.

Thanks everyone and we will keep you informed
